The song “Always” by Bon Jovi was originally written for the soundtrack of the 1993 film Romeo Is Bleeding. However, after being dissatisfied with the film, the band decided not to include the song in the movie’s soundtrack.
The film subsequently became a critical and commercial failure. Jon Bon Jovi shelved the track and forgot about it until a friend rediscovered it and encouraged him to re-record and release it.
The song was ultimately included on the band’s Cross Road compilation album.
